FAQ's
1) Does the 190 Series software work with Windows XP?
The 190 Systems operates with Microsoft Windows (Windows 98 Second Edition (true copy, not upgraded from Windows 98), ME, 2000, XP and various professional editions). The 190 series does not work in Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT. If you are using Windows 2000 or XP, you will need Administrator privileges in order to install the software.
2) How can I receive software updates?
Please call 1-800-BEAMHIT and specify the version of the 190 Series you have on you computer.
3) When will I be able to load up and review previous sessions?
The MPRI development team is at work improving the MPRI 190 series.
4) When I plug in my 190 System, it is identified as a dual-mode USB device.
If this occurs, you need to manually install the drivers. The drivers are located in your MPRI directory according to your Operating system. Windows XP users can find those drivers in "C:\Beamhit\HDD\XP", Windows 98 and Windows 2000 users can find it in "C:\Beamhit\HDD\98se2k". The driver file is called "ovtcamp.inf".
5) How does your trace mode work and can you use it in conjunction with the normal shooting/scoring application?
In order to enable trace mode, press the "START" button while running the 190 software to begin a session. Turn the LT-100C laser transmitter switch to the ZERO position and aim at the target. You should see the red laser dot on the target as well as a corresponding red square on the computer screen. Now you can examine the relationship between the laser dot and the red square, and make any necessary adjustments. This function does not allow you to record the trace. It allows you to view the aiming point of the laser in real time. Please note that you cannot use TRACE MODE with an internal laser such as the LTX because there is no ZERO mode on these lasers.
6) When I run the 190 software, it is larger than the screen, and I am unable to see the bottom half. Is there a solution?
This scenario occurs while your windows display settings are set to Large Fonts. To fix this, go to the DISPLAY section of the Control Panel for your computer, locate the font size option and change it from Large Fonts to Small Fonts. In addition, the recommended screen resolution size for the MPRI 190 Series is 800 x 600 or higher. If you are a Windows ME user and higher, you would look for NORMAL, not Small Fonts and your DPI setting should be set at 96.
7) When I try and run the 190, I get an error message reporting me that "WAV not installed". How do I solve this?
The MPRI 190 software needs a sound card in order to run properly. Any sound card will do for this purpose. The MPRI 190, however, will not run without a functioning sound card.
8) Can the 190 Series be used with any other systems?
No. The 190 Series are not compatible with other systems.
